A family friend of Patricia sold used cars at an import dealership in Milwaukee, where she saw the then 4 year old Saab convertible with 78K miles and bought it without even taking it for a test drive. One month later, I drove it to her home in DC and fell in love with it. For the next 4 years it got a weekly car wash and shine, was driven to work daily and serviced by certified Saab mechanics. In 1994, due to a career transfer overseas, the car went back to Wisconsin where it was put in storage and remains there to this day. The first time she knew it was a flatnose was when a man at the gas station pointed it out to her, after asking if she was willing to sell it – which she wasn’t!
